Technical Support Specialist

The Service Desk Agent is a key member of our technical team, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and technical support to our clients. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or chat, providing timely and accurate solutions to technical issues.
- Use scripted dialogue and escalate complex issues to product support, billing, sales, or return/repair teams as needed.
- Log calls and update customer account records to ensure accurate tracking and follow-up.
- Provide out-bound calling support to respond to submitted questions and resolve customer issues.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in a technical field, such as IT or computer science.
- Latest Microsoft MCSE qualification required; additional certifications like MCSA, MCDST, N+, and CCNA are preferred.
- ITIL v3 certification is an advantage.
- At least 2-3 years' industry experience in a Service Desk or Call Centre environment, or a proven technical background in IT operations in a large-scale, complex IT environment.
- Proven technical background in IT operations, including experience with Active Directory, antivirus/anti-spam systems, Citrix, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Office products, networking technologies, O365 product suites, SQL or database administration, and Windows OS.
- Prior experience with ITSM toolsets, such as BMC Remedy or ServiceNow, is essential.
- Experience with Genesys Contact Centre is an advantage.
