Job Description: Higher Education Support Specialist

Reporting to the Head of the Centre for Academic Staff Development, the successful candidate will work collaboratively with academic staff, senior tutors, and tutors to promote excellence in teaching and learning. Key responsibilities include developing and delivering training programs, providing guidance and support to tutors, and contributing to the development of knowledge-based curricula.

To succeed in this role, you will possess a postgraduate degree in education, staff development, or a related field. A minimum of three years of experience working in higher education and/or one year of experience in academic staff development is required. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, as well as a commitment to further studies.

A master's degree in a relevant field is highly desirable, and experience facilitating workshops in teaching and learning for academic staff is an added advantage. Knowledge of the field of academic development and mentoring in education is also beneficial.
