Job Description

We are seeking highly motivated and experienced lecturers to join our team at the School of Education. The successful candidates will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of Senior Phase and Further Education and Training Teaching.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of a 4-year BEd degree plus, an Honours (BEd Hons) OR Humanities/Arts/Social Science Honours OR Postgraduate Diploma in Education (at NQF level 8).
  • The Undergraduate Qualification OR the Honours OR The Postgraduate Teaching Diploma (NQF 8), must include a module on Teaching and Learning/Pedagogy.
  • The Undergraduate Qualification or Postgraduate Qualification must include component subjects to at least NQF level 6 (usually the 2nd year of study) – English as a major.

Work Experience Requirements

  • School Teaching Experience in component subjects (Required).
  • Tertiary Lecturing Experience (Ideal).
  • Training & Development: 3 years (Required).
  • Teaching: 3 years (Required).
