Sales Leader for National Acquiring Solutions

Job Overview
Bidvest Bank Limited is seeking an experienced sales leader to join our team as a Sales Leader for National Acquiring Solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and controlling the overall sales and relationship function within the Acquiring/Merchant Services business unit.
The successful candidate will provide holistic acquiring merchant product solutions to customers, while also identifying opportunities for mutual beneficial arrangements with partners and vendors. This will involve driving new business through utilizing avenues such as team networks with other Bidvest companies and strategic dealerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and control the overall sales and relationship function within the Acquiring/Merchant Services business unit
- Provide holistic acquiring merchant product solutions to customers
- IDentify opportunities for mutual beneficial arrangements with partners and vendors
- Drive new business through utilizing avenues such as team networks with other Bidvest companies and strategic dealerships
Requirements
- Degree and/or Diploma in a Business-related field
- RE5 will be an advantage
- 5 - 8 years' experience in the payments and/or banking industry, preferably with acquiring, card and/or merchant experience
- Payments knowledge both within the issuing and acquiring environments
- Customer focused understanding the sales dynamics and targets
- Knowledge of Visa & Master Card settlement & payment processes
Operational Excellence
- Ensure on-going strategic initiatives are evaluated, interpreted and implemented in maintenance of an effectiveness of the sales & relationship function within Merchant Services
- Ensure all statutory and business reporting are executed on within predetermined deadlines (monthly, quarterly and/or annually), in-line with all the relevant regulations and the Bank's internal policies and procedures
