Job Summary
The Faculty Administrator will be responsible for providing strategic support to the Dean, Deputy Deans, and departmental chairpersons in the operational management of the faculty's academic administration. This role will require strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders across the university.

Duties and Responsibilities
The Faculty Administrator will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
  • Oversight of the faculty's academic administration, including staff management and policy formulation
  • Development and implementation of policies and procedures in line with the university's requirements
  • Establishment of an annual administrative operational plan, aligned with the institutional and faculty operational plans
  • Staff management, including recruitment, training, and performance management
  • Co-ordination of events and activities, including meetings, conferences, and workshops

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Master's degree (NQF 9 qualification) and at least 5 years of experience in academic administration at a senior level in a higher education environment. You should also have excellent oral and written communication skills, planning and organizing skills, and a strong client focus with impeccable interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions
This role requires a high level of energy and motivation, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The Faculty Administrator will be expected to work closely with the faculty leadership team, academics, administrators, students, and other stakeholders across the university.
