Pricing Data Analyst Job Description

About the Role

The Pricing Data Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the Category Insights team in driving commercial and revenue goals. This position will involve gathering, consolidating, and analyzing complex data to produce insights, predictions, and recommendations that inform pricing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Category Insights Manager in creating reports and recalculating metrics to provide insights on market trends and customer behavior.
  • Support the Category Insights Manager in creating and updating tool files from pricing strategy refresh to ensure the pricing strategy remains up-to-date.
  • Coordinate with the Analytical Engineer on competitor data source updates to ensure the data used for competitive analysis remains current and accurate.
  • Monitor updates related to item relationships and manage the follow-up process to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide ad-hoc assistance and expertise to Category Specialists on item relationship updates.
  • Investigate incorrect item relationships flagged by Buyers and notify the Master Data team if SAP data is incorrect.
  • Own and conduct quarterly clean-up of input sheets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a Data Analyst or similar role, solving business and technology problems through data analysis techniques.
  • Experience applying data mining, modeling, and mathematical and/or statistical concepts and methodology to support strategic business objectives.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, and data analysis toolkits.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office 365 with advanced Excel skills.
