Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Generalist to join our team at Meondoholdings in the Western Cape region. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic HR support to our business, ensuring compliance with labour laws and regulations, and driving employee engagement and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Employee Relations
    • Provide expert advice to line managers on employee conduct and misconduct management processes.
    • Investigate and process disciplinary cases, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes.
    • Manage employee grievances, providing support and guidance to employees and line managers.
    • Review HR practices to ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations, providing guidance to line managers as needed.
  • Resourcing
    • Process recruitment permissions and manage the recruitment process, ensuring timely advertising and tracking of job openings.
    • Conduct interviews with line managers and selection panels, making recommendations for C Band and lower positions.
    • Manage employee onboarding, probationary reviews, and terminations, ensuring a smooth transition for employees and the business.
  • Talent Management
    • Coach line managers on performance management and talent development processes.
    • Facilitate consistency reviews and talent development meetings, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
    • Drive succession planning for the site and region, identifying and developing future leaders.
  • Health and Safety Compliance
    • Manage the IOD/minor injury treatment process and reporting, ensuring compliance with labour laws and regulations.
    • Assist the Risk Officer in monitoring IOD cases, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Organisational Design
    • Liaise with line managers to develop new organisational structures, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
    • Manage and update business organisational structures on SAP, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Training and Development
    • Compile training matrices from appraisal documents, identifying development needs for employees.
    • Facilitate HR training, including refresher training for employees and line managers.
    • Drive development plans for C Band employees, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Employment Equity
    • Draw quarterly reports on employment equity, discussing outcomes with the EE committee.
    • Drive staff profile development, ensuring alignment with agreed KPIs for the site.
  • HR Administration
    • Manage new employee onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition for employees and the business.
    • Manage terminations and exit interviews, ensuring compliance with labour laws and regulations.
    • Manage HR data and information, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Requirements
  • Degree in Human Resource Management
  • Valid Code EB driver's license
  • At least 3-5 years' experience as an HR Generalist
