Senior Claims Manager Job Description
Armstrong Appointments is seeking a highly skilled Senior Claims Manager to join our team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional claim handling and customer service.
- Handle complex claims of varying severity, including coverage review, fact investigation, loss evaluation, and designing an effective claim resolution strategy.
- Maintain appropriate and timely indemnity and expense reserves.
- Proactively manage diaries to drive claims towards timely resolution.
- Develop and implement strategies for fair claim resolution, including settlement negotiation.
- Select, direct, and manage external experts and vendors.
- Provide actionable claims insights and input to internal stakeholders.
- Assist Underwriting and others with contractual wording and risk assessments.
- Keep Claim Management and Internal Stakeholders aware of loss potential and material claim developments.
- Provide accurate information and data for Claims reporting.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years Claims or Insurance Industry experience.
- Desire to learn and develop as a person and as an insurance professional.
- Curious, energetic, confident, collaborative, proactive, problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong coverage, investigation, loss evaluation, and claim valuation skills.
