Network Security Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Specialist to join our team at Deka Minas Pty Ltd. This role is responsible for supporting and driving the daily activities of our metrics & reporting program, creating and refreshing reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc analysis of Information Security Services metrics, Key Performance Indicators, and Key Risk Indicators.
Main Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain network operations software, applications, and appliances.
- Develop complex data extracts using various security solutions and ensure requirements are developed in accordance with specified business and technical requirements.
- Create reports, build dashboards, and data visualizations using a variety of different data tools.
- Utilize ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) tools to transform and blend data from disparate data sources.
- Review data for accuracy and trending and troubleshoot any errors in reporting or extracting.
- Select and use appropriate software to effectively analyze security data and compile information.
- Provide ad-hoc data analysis support to all internal clients.
- Assist with SharePoint site administration and maintenance for the internal team site.
- Partner with technology teams to design solutions that mitigate risk.
- Share knowledge of future trends, tools, procedures, and systems in infrastructure security, internal controls, and risk management.
- Participate in forums, benchmarking analyses, and processes that result in improvement, information sharing, and innovation across the organization.
Requirements
- High level of personal integrity and ability to discreetly handle sensitive, personal, and confidential case information.
- Heavy involvement with creating disaster recovery plans that allow for the continued operation of our IT department.
- Ability to make recommendations to management on enhancements to existing and new security hardware, software, or related tools.
- Ability to evaluate, plan, configure, and implement new/existing security applications/tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with network operations software, applications, and appliances.
- Experience developing complex data extracts using various security solutions.
- Experience creating reports, building dashboards, and data visualizations using different data tools.
- Experience utilizing ETL tools to transform and blend data from disparate data sources.
