Operations Supervisor Job Description

Hire Resolve is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of our logistics and supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage warehouse and distribution staff to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Ensure all orders are accurately picked, invoiced, and loaded in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate the generation of route sheets and ensure all orders are put into routes.
  • Verify and invoice all orders for loading, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Oversee the loading of delivery vehicles and ensure stock is accurately accounted for.
  • Assist with walk-in customer orders and provide excellent customer service.
  • Collaborate with receiving staff to ensure accurate stock receipt and physical balancing against invoices.
  • Ensure received stock is properly packed away and the Warehouse Management System (WMS) is up to date.
  • Participate in stock takes and ensure accurate inventory levels.
  • Communicate with customers regarding delivery status and track drivers and vehicles.
  • Liaise with drivers and assistants to ensure smooth daily deliveries to customers.
  • Verify vehicle condition daily with drivers and ensure the fleet is well-maintained.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 (NQF 4) minimum.
  • Valid Driver's license.
  • Excellent supervisory and organizational skills.
  • Good people handling and communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong numeracy skills.
  • Proficient in computer software, including Excel and Syspro.
  • Good decision-making ability.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Willingness to work overtime and be available for on-site operations.
