Armstrong Appointments is seeking a highly motivated Renewable Energy Projects Development Specialist to develop and manage installation projects for Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and water heating solutions. Based in Cape Town, this role requires quarterly travel to project locations, primarily in Tanzania, to ensure seamless execution and high-quality results.
Main Objectives:
- Project Development: Identify and develop new project opportunities, working closely with clients and stakeholders.
- Project Management: Manage projects from planning and design through to installation and commissioning.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate with engineers, contractors, suppliers, and installation teams to ensure efficient project workflows.
- Client Relations: Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, providing progress updates and managing expectations.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation and deliver regular reports on progress, challenges, and solutions.
Requirements:
A degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field is necessary.
PMP certification or equivalent is beneficial.
Key Criteria:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in project management, preferably in renewable energy or electrical installations.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of Solar PV systems, BESS, and electrical installations.
- Business Development Skills: Proven ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
