Job Description:

As a Warehouse Operations Manager at RCL FOODS, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely issue of goods to meet customer service levels and reduce costs. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee all warehouse requirements, including storage areas, equipment, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, and Quality (SHERQ) standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement strategies to improve warehouse operations and achieve significant gains in efficiency
* Ensure the implementation of best operating practices and standardized procedures throughout the warehouse
* Manage stock control systems and plan future capacity requirements based on forward planning

Operations Management:

* Control and monitor inventory levels and replenishment processes
* Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse by planning new design layouts, inspecting facilities, and issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
* Manage operational requirements by deploying warehouse operational and administrative employees and following up on work results
* Continuously consider cost-reducing strategies across all warehouse activities
* Manage housekeeping and food safety requirements

Risk Management:

* Ensure ISO compliance throughout the warehouse, including health and safety and food safety
* Achieve 95% hygiene and risk standards through health inspections and risk compliance inspections
* Participate in risk meetings
* Ensure warehouse compliance with national and provincial legislation, international SHERQ standards, and company policy

Team Management:

* Ensure labour availability across all shifts
* Monitor team performance and provide regular performance feedback
* Coach and support the team to achieve objectives
* Lead the team towards meeting strategy and targets through regular communication and talent management
