Job Description

About the Role:

  • Assist in monitoring compliance with applicable legislation and internal requirements.
  • Fulfils Compliance functions required in terms of the FAIS legislations such as monitoring and reporting to the financial services provider and the FSCA when required.
  • Established and embeds compliance culture across the business projects and internal EAW Projects team.
  • Identifies and assesses compliance risk areas periodically and appropriately addresses findings through relevant and appropriate action plans processes. Escalates any concerns to business immediately.
  • Monitors compliance and develops company guidelines as well as supervision framework which will be effective in managing the compliance functions and contain any compliance risk.
  • Assists with the proper establishment and maintenance of procedures on the identification, reporting and resolution of breaches and other compliance and regulatory issues.

Project Onboarding:

  • Establishes a sign-off process with regards to onboarding new agents by creating a checklist as well as vetting the packs for submission to the client.
  • Ensures that the content of the packs are completed as per the client requirements and that minimal back and forth is managed upfront.
  • Liaises with the various FAIS teams of the client as well as the necessary EAW personnel to manage the sign-off process of the Packs.
  • Streamlines processes to optimize efficiencies.

Company and Client Engagement:

  • Engages with Portfolio Managers and business leaders on compliance matters relating to all compliance matters.
  • Supports the designated business unit leaders in exercising their responsibility for oversight of compliance in their business units.
  • Executes all other functions related to the compliance mandate as delegated by the compliance officer and Compliance Manager of the client where within mandate.
  • Assists to develop and implement company training with regards to compliance and ensures that business is constantly updated of legislature requirements through formal communication, training, and regular informative sessions.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 Years experience in a similar role (Must be within short-term personal and commercial lines)
  • Matric
  • FAIS
  • RE5
  • RE1 (KI)
  • Own car and able to travel to different sites as needed

Compensation Package: We offer a competitive salary ranging from R500,000 - R700,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide opportunities for professional growth and development, a dynamic work environment, and a chance to be part of a successful team.
