Fouche & Co Recruitment is proud to present an exciting opportunity for a skilled Pastry Chef to join our team in Hillcrest. With a strong focus on delivering exceptional culinary experiences, we are seeking a talented individual with expertise in specialty cakes and icing.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant qualification in pastry or baking, as well as at least 3 years of experience as a pastry chef or baker. A creative flair and passion for baking, particularly in cake decoration and icing, are essential for success in this role.

We offer a competitive salary range of R10,000 - R12,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience. As a valued member of our team, you will enjoy working in a beautiful location with a stunning view, a supportive work environment, and a loyal customer base.

In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Baking a variety of sweet treats, including cakes, pies, tarts, cookies, muffins, croissants, and other pastries
  • Developing new recipes and menus to enhance our culinary offerings
  • Maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Managing inventory and costs effectively
  • Complying with health and safety regulations
  • Icing cakes with precision, creativity, and attention to detail

To be considered for this position, please ensure you possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A relevant qualification in pastry or baking (advantageous)
  • At least 3 years of experience as a pastry chef or baker
  • A creative flair and passion for baking, particularly in cake decoration and icing
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
