About the Role
- As a Costing Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately costing repair orders, ensuring all parts, labor, and additional expenses are properly accounted for.
- You will verify the accuracy of all repair orders and associated documentation, working closely with service advisors and technicians to ensure all costs are captured and correctly billed.
- Manage warranty claims and ensure all documentation is complete and submitted timely.
- Utilize dealership software for costing and tracking purposes.
Service Team Leader Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the service team to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery.
- Schedule and coordinate service appointments, ensuring optimal workflow and resource allocation.
- Monitor the progress of service jobs and provide updates to customers as needed.
- Assist in resolving customer complaints and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Implement and maintain service processes and standards to improve efficiency and customer service.
Customer Service
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, concerns, and providing accurate information regarding service options, timelines, and costs.
- Ensure a positive service experience by maintaining clear and professional communication with customers.
Documentation and Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate records of all costing activities, including repair orders, warranty claims, and customer interactions.
- Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with company policies and procedures.
Sales and Upselling
- Identify opportunities to upsell additional services and products to enhance vehicle performance and customer satisfaction.
- Provide customers with detailed explanations of recommended services and associated benefits.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Costing Clerk in an automotive dealership environment.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, vehicle maintenance, and repair processes.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role is advantageous.
- Computer literate: Experience with dealership software is preferred.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Valid driver's license.
