A prominent provider of solar energy solutions, dedicated to offering sustainable and innovative energy alternatives across Africa, with a focus on retail and commercial sectors, is seeking a Solar Solutions Sales Specialist to enhance their team.
In this role, you will be instrumental in broadening the company's market footprint and driving sales advancement within the solar sector. Your key responsibilities will encompass:
- Identifying and pursuing new business prospects.
- Establishing and nurturing relationships with retail clients.
- Delivering technical sales expertise.
- Traveling within South Africa and other African nations to engage with clients and partners.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Relevant certifications in solar energy are advantageous.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in technical sales.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and own vehicle.
- Demonstrated success in retail sales and business development.
- Technical sales experience with a solid understanding of solar energy products and systems.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel within South Africa and other African regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the retail and commercial sectors.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company objectives.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.

- Provide technical sales support, including product presentations and demonstrations.
- Negotiate and finalize sales agreements, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Stay informed about the latest solar energy products and technologies.
- Offer technical guidance and support to customers regarding product selection and installation.
- Collaborate with the technical team to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Explore and establish new markets within Africa, focusing on regions with significant solar energy potential.
- Develop and maintain a network of distributors and resellers.
