As a Senior Phase Life Orientation Educator at SPARK Schools, you will drive student achievement by maintaining high expectations for classroom culture, behavior, and academic growth for all scholars. You will be a content specialist in Exercise Science and/or Sociology or Psychology and will equip scholars with the knowledge and tools required for matriculation.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver academic and clubs lessons, both in the classroom and on the field.
  • Collaborate with grade level and content area partners to develop rigorous, engaging learning experiences.
  • Participate in all scheduled professional development sessions.
  • Develop and administer formative and termly assessments to track student progress.
  • Lead scholar social and emotional development through CQ sessions and reflections.
  • Plan and deliver programs to support low-performing scholars or extend high-performing scholars.
  • Participate in place-based education and career and tertiary pathways education.
  • Develop SPARK culture and implement behavior management strategies.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications and Criteria
  • English language fluency.
  • Completed B.Ed or PGCE degree in Psychology/Life Orientation - Senior/FET.
  • SACE registration.
  • Clear/Clean criminal record.
