Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Phase isiZulu Educator to join our team at SPARK Blue Downs High. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and developing isiZulu language and literature curriculum, as well as contributing to the development of our blended learning model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality isiZulu language and literature lessons to students in grades 10-12
  • Develop and implement isiZulu curriculum that aligns with national standards and SPARK Schools' educational philosophy
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement blended learning materials and assessments
  • Conduct formative and summative assessments to track student progress and inform instruction
  • Lead professional development sessions for colleagues on isiZulu language and literature pedagogy
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives to promote literacy and numeracy skills among students
Requirements
  • Master's degree in isiZulu language and literature or a related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of teaching experience in isiZulu language and literature
  • Strong knowledge of isiZulu language and literature curriculum and pedagogy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
