Regional Coordinator Job Description

COOPI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Coordinator to lead our operations in Eastern Africa. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all activities in the region, ensuring strategic management, economic results, and effective resource deployment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Country Coordinators, institutions, and donors in the region.
  • Coordinate and draft the Strategic Planning and Programming Document for the area of reference.
  • Ensure projects comply with COOPI procedures and donor regulations.
  • Coordinate visibility and communication activities in the region.
Requirements:
  • University degree in International Relations, Cooperation, and Development, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on humanitarian management and emergency response.
  • Excellent knowledge of English and Italian languages, both written and spoken.
  • Previous experience in project writing and management, with good report writing and administrative skills.
Soft Skills:
  • Proactive attitude, with excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment, with a positive attitude towards stress and complicated situations.
  • Diplomatic and confidentiality skills, with a target-oriented and problem-solving aptitude.
