We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Lecturer in Financial Accounting to join our team at HR Genie. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the learning process in Financial Accounting / Corporate Financial Reporting for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver high-quality course material, lectures, and tutorials for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Financial Accounting / Corporate Financial Reporting.
- Set and moderate assessments to ensure students meet the required standards.
- Coordinate undergraduate academic programs to ensure smooth delivery and student success.
- Conduct research and scholarly activities to stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments.
- Engage with professional bodies and other stakeholders to promote the university's reputation and interests.
- Perform related administrative duties to support the department's operations.
- Be a Chartered Accountant (South Africa) with a strong background in Financial Accounting / Corporate Financial Reporting.
- Hold an honours degree or equivalent NQF 8 qualification specialising in Financial Accounting / Corporate Financial Reporting.
- Have at least 3-7 years of relevant or related working experience in financial reporting and/or the facilitation of learning in Financial Accounting / Corporate Financial Reporting.
- Progress towards a Masters degree specialising in Financial Accounting / Corporate Financial Reporting.
- Experience in the facilitation and management of large diverse student groups.
- Experience in blended learning practices.
- Experience and a thorough understanding of trending technologies including data and/or accounting analytics and/or Integrated reporting with a special emphasis on sustainability reporting.
- Involvement in professional activities or with professional bodies and other stakeholders.
