The Department Manager - Sales Team Lead will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of Sales Consultants to achieve collective performance and contribute to customer satisfaction and the overall results of the department.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of Sales Consultants to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
- Develop and implement business strategies to drive sales growth and improve customer relationships.
- Manage daily sales and customer relations, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Build and implement the Business Action Plan of the department, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Introduce efficiency and improvement measures to optimize return and stakeholder value.
- Ensure the day-to-day management of the department is aligned with the customer promise.
- Coordinate and contribute to sales activities in store, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
- Develop and update own skills and knowledge to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
- Assume leadership role on behalf of the Head of Department when not available.
- Participate in teamwork to ensure quality service and productivity of the store.
- Ensure optimal staff is available to deliver excellent customer service to all customers.
- Train and develop staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
The successful candidate should have the following skills, experience, and attributes:
- Minimum Matric or NQF4 Equivalent.
- Relevant tertiary qualification will be an added advantage.
- Previous retail experience at a junior management level.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
