Electrical Sales Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Sales Representative to join our team as an Electrical Sales Consultant.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and maintain strong business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory to generate new business for our organisation's products and services.
- Makes regular telephone calls and in-person visits to existing and potential customers to showcase our products and services.
- Conduct research to identify new business opportunities and stay up-to-date on market trends and customer needs.
- Develop clear and effective written proposals and quotations for current and prospective customers.
- Address customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.
- Coordinate sales efforts with management, accounting, logistics, and technical service groups.
- Analyse market potential and determine the value of existing and prospective customers to our organisation.
- Create and manage a customer value plan for existing customers highlighting profile, share, and value opportunities.
- Identify advantages and compare our products and services with competitors.
- Plan and organise personal sales strategy to maximise return on investment in the assigned territory.
- Provide regular reports to management on customer needs, problems, interest, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
- Stay informed about product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends through relevant literature and consulting with marketing and technical areas.
- Promote our brand at trade shows and conventions.
- Contribute to the team effort by achieving related results as needed.
- Minimum qualification: Matric - Technical and/or Mechanical qualification is seen as an added advantage.
- At least 2-3 years' experience in the Electrical/Mechanical sector.
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills.
- Able to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach).
- Results-oriented and able to work independently and within a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications and contact management software.
- Familiarity with the IT Operating system (e.g. TIMMS) to assist with training and guidance when required.
R30 000.00 to R40 000.00 per annum, including benefits such as pension fund contributions, medical aid, 13th cheque, company car and petrol, cell phone, and sales incentives.
