Job Overview
At E&D Recruiters, we are seeking an experienced Senior Design Leader to join our team in Cape Town. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled mechanical design engineer with strong leadership abilities to take on a challenging role.

About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of design engineers and working closely with international clients. The ideal candidate should have at least 10-15 years of experience in mechanical engineering and a proven track record of managing design projects. They should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a team and work collaboratively with colleagues and clients.

Responsibilities
• Lead a team of design engineers and provide guidance and support as needed
• Conduct design reviews and ensure accuracy of project management reports
• Assist with new project/task scope of work and quotation process
• Develop and implement strategies to improve design processes and efficiency
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth project execution

Requirements
• B Eng./ BSc Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
• At least 10-15 years of experience in mechanical design engineering
• Proven track record of managing design projects and teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities

Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary of R1 200 000 - R1 500 000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as medical aid, retirement fund, and annual leave.
