As a Clearing & Forwarding Coordinator at Indian Ocean Export Company, you will be responsible for facilitating the efficient and compliant movement of goods through the export process. This involves overseeing customs clearance, customs and OGA documentation, and coordinating logistics to ensure smooth transit through international borders.
Main Duties:
- Frame entries and handle customs queries.
- Ensure export documentation complies with required customs regulations.
- Assist and rectify HS Codes where necessary.
- Ensure accurate calculation and payment of customs duties, taxes, and other charges.
- Acquire release from OGA departments (PPECB, DAFF, PORT HEALTH, STATE VET, DTI, NRCS, and ITAC).
- Obtain permits, SADCs, GSP, and EUR1 for applicable countries.
- Request authorization from TPT and TPNA.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all clearing and forwarding activities.
- Ensure IOEC is in good standing with Customs and OGAs.
- Advise on correct Inco Term usage.
- Airfreight quote request.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in customs clearance and forwarding coordination.
- Strong understanding of customs regulations and trade compliance.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using customs and logistics software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Knowledge of international shipping, freight, and logistics principles.
