Sales Engineer Role:
As a Sales Engineer at Flowserve, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key customers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including application engineers, customer service, and manufacturing, to ensure customer satisfaction. Your primary goal will be to drive bookings levels to meet and/or exceed assigned targets, while also maintaining regular communication with key customers to understand their needs and preferences.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement marketing plans aligned with regional sales objectives
• Collaborate with application engineers, customer service, and manufacturing to ensure customer satisfaction
• Educate customers on the quality, features, and uses of our products through various channels
• Drive bookings levels to meet and/or exceed assigned targets
Requirements:
• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field
• At least 4 years of experience in sales and marketing
• Strong knowledge of EPC contractors, OEM, and Mining industry in South Africa and larger SADC
• Experience in sales with rotating equipment such as pumps and mechanical seals
• Familiarity with API 610 Standard
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
