Job Title: Director of Commercial Operations

We are seeking a seasoned Director of Commercial Operations to drive business growth, oversee market operations, and lead the commercial team in a retail and international trading environment.

This is an on-site, full-time role in East London, offering a unique opportunity to join our team at Outsourced CFO.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor local and global market trends, competitor behavior, and plan relevant marketing campaigns to enhance our market share.
  • Oversee daily sales operations to ensure smooth workflow and success, maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze and enhance commercial activities to improve overall performance, identifying areas for cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Lead and develop the commercial team to ensure high performance and growth, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders to support business objectives, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Safeguard the company's interests and rights in all business dealings, maintaining a strong focus on compliance and risk management.
  • Enforce strong internal controls to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations, aligning with local laws and regulations.
  • Plan and execute commercial activities in alignment with corporate strategy, driving business growth and expansion.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure new supply channels, ensuring competitive pricing and high-quality products.
  • Meet with key clients to close deals and establish new sales channels, driving revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Attend relevant local and international exhibitions to expand business opportunities, showcasing our products and services.
  • Develop innovative sales methods to boost revenue, staying ahead of the competition and driving business growth.
  • Oversee the preparation of the annual budget, ensuring financial targets are met and exceeded, and drive business growth through strategic planning and execution.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in business studies with 5+ years of experience in retail and international trading.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership qualities, with a strategic and innovative mindset, driving business growth and expansion.
  • High ethical standards, honesty, and self-confidence, with a strong focus on compliance and risk management.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and competitors, identifying areas for growth and improvement.
