Strategic Learning Design Lead

The African Management Institute seeks a highly skilled and experienced Learning Design Lead to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for leading the Learning Design Team, managing design processes, and driving innovation in learning products.
This is a unique opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about learning and development. We are looking for someone who can bring their expertise and experience to help us drive our learning strategy forward.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Learning Design Team in the development of high-quality learning products that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.
- Manage design processes, including the development of learning objectives, instructional strategies, and assessment methods.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that learning products are aligned with overall program objectives and business goals.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in learning design and development.
- Develop and maintain high standards for learning design processes, incorporating innovation and continuous improvement.
- Represent the Learning Design team in cross-departmental discussions, advising on design timelines, costs, and best practices.
- Proven experience in learning design, instructional design, or related fields, with a strong understanding of adult learning principles.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team, allocate resources, and manage multiple projects within agile frameworks.
- Deep knowledge of adult learning theory and how to apply these theories in the design of transformative learning experiences.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in using data to inform learning product development and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with digital learning platforms and content development processes.
- Understanding of agile methodology and ability to handle multiple priorities in a very fluid working environment.
We are looking for someone with a strong background in learning design and development, with experience in leading teams and managing projects. A Master's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
