We are seeking a skilled Business Insurance Consultant to join our team at The Recruitment Council. As a Business Insurance Consultant, you will be responsible for growing and developing a business insurance portfolio by attracting new clients through face-to-face sales. You will be accountable for sourcing and servicing your own portfolio and will reap the rewards of your hard work, earning ongoing commission on your portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bulk up your existing client base by networking, cold calling, and door-to-door canvassing.
- Conduct comprehensive needs analyses for prospective clients to identify their business insurance needs.
- Provide exceptional ongoing servicing and support to your individual client base, including amendments, renewals, claim registration, and more.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A matric or national senior certificate.
- An insurance qualification or relevant credits based on your first appointment to commercial lines insurance.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- 2+ years of experience in face-to-face or intermediary sales, preferably in short-term insurance.
- Familiarity with working with a Record of Advice.
- Business-to-business sales experience.
Competencies:
- The ability to actively source and grow your client portfolio.
- A minimum of R13,500 in new business premium per month.
- World-class service delivery to ensure a low lapse rate.
- Effective screening of new business to prevent threats to our risk pool.
