Overview

We are seeking a Renewable Energy Transition Specialist, to join our team in Cape Town, South Africa.

Salary


The estimated salary for this role is approximately R1,200,000 per annum, considering the location and industry standards.

Job Description


Role Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Renewable Energy Transition Specialist to manage various renewable projects and support positioning ABL as the global renewable advisor of choice. You will work within teams of multi-disciplined project managers, engineers, analysts, and specialists, developing and working with capability across the company globally.
Main Responsibilities:
- Delivering projects to a high standard to ensure utmost satisfaction of clients and outstanding quality of deliverables.
- Led on proposals and supporting business development, representing ABL. Managing project key performance indicators including budgets.
- Managing project teams to ensure optimal delivery of projects.
- Support in positive development of people through mentoring, training, etc.
- Develop ABL's suite of renewables products to lead in new markets and new associated technologies, building new systems through R&D to give ABL a competitive advantage.
- Collaborate with, support, and evolve with other businesses, teams, and staff in the ABL Group, networking at all levels within the company, as well as with external bodies and acting as a representative of ABL at industry conferences, seminars, events, etc.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience and passion for onshore wind, solar, or energy storage.
- Qualified to at least bachelor's or master's degree level in Engineering or relevant discipline.
- A successful track record of project managing multi-disciplined teams.
- Strong technology knowledge including players, markets, technology, warranties, etc.
- Key characteristics include: strong interpersonal skills, self-awareness, attention to detail, strength of character, pragmatism, and flexibility Excellent communication and report writing skills.
