About the Role

This exciting opportunity is for an Industrial Relations Specialist who will be based at our branch in the Umhlanga/Ballito area. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in retaining clients and providing exceptional service.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert advice on IR issues to clients.
  • Contacting clients as per schedule to ensure timely support.

The scope of IR issues can range from:

  • Chairing disciplinary inquiries to ensure fair outcomes.
  • Drafting judgments that meet client needs.
  • Assisting with warning procedures to maintain compliance.
  • Drafting and implementing policies that promote employee relations.

To more complex issues like strike management, requiring strategic thinking and effective communication.

Key Qualifications & Experience

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A customer-first mindset and 3 years' experience in HR/IR or a related field.
  • More than 1 year of experience in Industrial Relations, with a deep understanding of labour law.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • An ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • A valid driver's license and own vehicle.
  • Residency in the DBN North, Umhlanga/Ballito area.
