The Healthcare Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our healthcare facility. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this individual will oversee the daily activities of various departments, including administrative, nursing, cleaning, gardening, and patient care consultant staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and manage work activities of all support staff, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Support and guide Team Leaders in their roles, promoting effective team management.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date computerized record management systems, utilizing medical software to store and process vital patient information.
  • Manage daily banking, statistics, and reports, providing valuable insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and implement efficient work schedules, tasks, and rosters for staff members, optimizing productivity and performance.
  • Establish and maintain open communication channels between professionals, staff, and patients, fostering a culture of transparency and collaboration.
  • Ensure the health centre's facilities are well-maintained and operate at optimal levels, meeting the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
  • Supervise service providers, guaranteeing adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and compliance with internal processes.
  • Address and resolve staffing issues, including recruitment, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
  • Notify the Operations Manager and relevant stakeholders of any maintenance or contractor-related duties, guaranteeing seamless coordination.
  • Investigate and facilitate disciplinary inquiries, maintaining fairness and consistency in all procedures.
  • Provide comprehensive training and orientation to new staff members, ensuring they integrate seamlessly into the team.
  • Adhere to and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, promoting a culture of integrity and accountability.

To excel in this role, you will require:

  • A matric certificate
  • A degree in Business Management
  • 3-5 years' experience in a similar position
  • 2-3 years' experience in management
  • Proficiency in MS Packages and Pay Space
  • Prior experience in the healthcare industry is advantageous
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
