About the Role

AqualisBraemar LOC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Renewables Consultant to join our team in Cape Town, South Africa. As a key member of our delivery teams, you will play a critical role in managing various renewable projects and supporting our position as a global renewable advisor of choice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver projects to a high standard, ensuring client satisfaction and outstanding quality of deliverables.
  • Lead on proposals and support business development, representing AqualisBraemar LOC and managing project key performance indicators, including budgets.
  • Manage project teams to ensure optimal delivery of projects.
  • Support the positive development of our people through mentoring, training, and knowledge sharing.
  • Develop AqualisBraemar LOC's suite of renewables products to lead in new markets and new technologies, building new systems through research and development to give us a competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate with, support, and evolve with other businesses, teams, and staff in the AqualisBraemar LOC group, networking at all levels within the company and with external bodies, and acting as a representative of AqualisBraemar LOC at industry conferences, seminars, and events.
  • Ensure that projects operate in accordance with AqualisBraemar LOC's high health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures, guaranteeing the safety and well-being of staff, subcontractors, and any other third parties who may be impacted by our work.
  • Ensure project work and technical quality standards are maintained.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience and passion for onshore wind, solar, or energy storage.
  • Qualified to at least bachelor's or master's degree level in Engineering or a relevant discipline.
  • A successful track record of project managing multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong technology knowledge, including players, markets, technology, warranties, etc.
  • Key characteristics include: strong interpersonal skills, self-awareness, attention to detail, strength of character, pragmatism, and flexibility. Excellent communication and report writing skills.
