About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Technical Assistant to join our team at SA Metal Group (Pty) Ltd. This is a permanent position that requires a strong work ethic and ability to multitask.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment, including daily housekeeping and tool maintenance
  • Assist artisans with various tasks as required, demonstrating a willingness to learn and adapt
  • Complete basic welding tasks under supervision, adhering to strict safety protocols
  • Identify and select appropriate hand tools, utilizing basic power tools when necessary
Requirements
  • Grade 12 qualification or equivalent
  • Familiarity with health and safety rules, with the ability to handle cutting machines
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous, but not mandatory
Qualifying Attributes
  • Self-motivation and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required, with a focus on delivering results
  • Physical fitness, with the strength to handle materials, tools, and machines

Compensation and Benefits
