Administrative HR Assistant

The SA Metal Group (Pty) Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and professional Administrative HR Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Human Capital Team, specifically for the SA Steelworks division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general administrative assistance to the HR Department
- Assist with recruitment activities, including drafting job adverts, advertising, screening CVs, scheduling interviews, and conducting employment checks
- On-board new employees as required
- Maintain employee records, including wages, leave, and training information
- Support training and development initiatives with administrative functions
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Diploma in Human Resource Management or related field
- Knowledge of the Labour Relations Act (LRA) and Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA)
- 1-2 years of experience in the Human Resources field
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Confidentiality, tact, and discretion when dealing with sensitive information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
Work Arrangements:
- Temporary position/contract
- Standard working hours: Monday to Thursday (08h00-17h00), Friday (08h00-16h00)
- Overtime may be required based on operational needs
Remuneration:
A competitive remuneration package will be offered, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
