Administrative HR Assistant

The SA Metal Group (Pty) Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and professional Administrative HR Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Human Capital Team, specifically for the SA Steelworks division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general administrative assistance to the HR Department
  • Assist with recruitment activities, including drafting job adverts, advertising, screening CVs, scheduling interviews, and conducting employment checks
  • On-board new employees as required
  • Maintain employee records, including wages, leave, and training information
  • Support training and development initiatives with administrative functions

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Diploma in Human Resource Management or related field
  • Knowledge of the Labour Relations Act (LRA) and Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA)
  • 1-2 years of experience in the Human Resources field
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Confidentiality, tact, and discretion when dealing with sensitive information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy

Work Arrangements:

  • Temporary position/contract
  • Standard working hours: Monday to Thursday (08h00-17h00), Friday (08h00-16h00)
  • Overtime may be required based on operational needs

A competitive remuneration package will be offered, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
