We are seeking a self-motivated external salesperson to join our dynamic sales team at our Nelspruit offices.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our existing business and expanding into new markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Travel within the designated territory to meet prospects and customers.
  2. Conduct calls and face-to-face meetings with customers daily.
  3. Build and maintain relationships with new and repeat customers.
  4. Maintain records of all sales leads and/or customer accounts.
  5. Educate customers on how products or services can benefit them financially and professionally.
  6. Sell the company's products or services to customers within your given territory.
  7. Monitor industry competitors, new products, and market conditions to understand a customer's specific needs.
  8. Develop a knowledge of the product and become an expert in the field.
  9. Ensure administration is up to date by completing weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
  10. Achieve sales targets consistently.
  11. Establish relationships internally with all departments that support sales.
  12. Ensure customer service satisfaction and maintain excellent customer relationships.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary education will be an advantage.
  • 2 – 3 years' experience in sales within the metal industries.
  • Ability to influence, negotiate, and communicate business strategy and objectives.
  • Understanding of statistical analysis tools, basic PC operation, project management, continuous improvement, quality and basic financial principles, and ability to apply them to analyze and develop sales strategies.
  • Own reliable transport to visit customers.

Skills Required:

  • Track record of over-achieving quota.
  • Experience working with SYSPRO is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels, to maintain relationships and cooperation in pursuing the company's goals.
  • Well-groomed.
  • Aptitude to learn and understand production processes.
