**Responsibilities**

This role oversees the management of the Northern Mozambique displacement response, ensuring response activities align with Plan International's standard policies and procedures. The position leads rapid needs assessments, focusing on children's and girls' specific needs, and provides recommendations to the Country Director and senior management team on programming options and priorities.

Additionally, this role involves selecting local partner organizations, ensuring alignment with Plan International's approach and programming priorities in humanitarian crises. Support is provided to program technical specialists to ensure high-quality programs have a direct positive impact on affected children.

**What You Will Do**

You will be responsible for preparing quality reports and updates on the northern displacement for different Plan Entities and external actors. You will develop an appropriate grant pipeline in collaboration with BDM at Country Office and work closely with BDM to develop funding submissions to institutional donors.

**Skills and Experience**

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Disaster Risk Management, humanitarian studies, international development, international relations, social studies, agriculture, public health, or similar field.
  • Demonstrated experience of key practice and standards for humanitarian response such as SPHERE and CHS.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and authoritatively on area of expertise, and influence others to reach common goals.
  • Proven experiences and ability to coordinate and collaborate with different organizations including the government and demonstrable working experience in development programme.
  • Demonstrated track record of proposal writing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English.

**Additional Qualifications**

  • Post graduate qualification in managing rapid and slow onset disasters, disaster risk reduction; conflict analysis; humanitarian response, climate adaptation; and program management including result-based monitoring and evaluation.
