Job Description:
This role involves providing administrative support to the short-term insurance team, ensuring efficient processing of commercial business and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the short-term insurance team, including preparing quotations, processing applications, and managing renewals.
- Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with product providers, advisers, and clients to facilitate smooth transactions.
- Prepare and present reports to management on commercial underwriting performance and trends.
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to inquiries and resolving issues effectively.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in the financial services industry.
- Proficient in both spoken and written English, and at least one other official South African language.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- NQF Level 4 Short-Term Insurance qualification or currently studying towards completion.
- FSCA confirmation (DOFA) and successful completion of the RE 5 Examination.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and demands.
