Job Title: Regional Internal Auditor - Eastern Cape

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Internal Auditor to join our team in the Eastern Cape. As a key member of our internal audit team, you will be responsible for executing internal audit fieldwork at service centers, performing ad-hoc audits, and ensuring that controls in place are consistent with the entity's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct audits at service centers, including service center reviews, and generate practical recommendations to improve business processes, risk management, and controls.
  • Investigate and address areas of concern highlighted from the audit, and provide insightful reports to management on the findings.
  • Perform forensic investigations on irregularities identified at service centers, and offer solutions to problems identified.
  • Responsible for an independent verification of stock balances at assigned service centers, and perform quarterly stock counts.
  • Execute ad-hoc internal audit assignments, including control adequacy and effectiveness reviews, process level risk and control assessments, and audit working papers.
Requirements:
  • Accounting/Auditing degree
  • 2 years audit experience
  • Computerized accounting experience, reconciliation experience, and knowledge of financial regulatory requirements
  • Valid driver's license, high ethical standards, and integrity
  • Discrete, assertive, tactical, critical thinking, flexibility, and adaptability
Technical Competencies:
  • Efficient use of audit tools and automation
  • Proven internal audit skills, including ability to identify and assess business risks
  • Good business acumen and well-developed problem-solving ability
  • Interpersonal skills at all levels within the organization
  • Excellent report writing, verbal communication, interviewing, and presentation skills
Special Requirements:
  • Financial accounting package, Excel, and Word
  • SAP (an advantage)
