Development Officer

Overview:
The role of Development Officer - Stakeholder Relations involves developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, including funders, partners, and community leaders. This position requires a strategic thinker who can identify and pursue new funding opportunities while ensuring effective communication with internal and external parties.
Main Responsibilities:
- Research and identify potential funding sources, including government agencies, foundations, and corporate sponsors.
- Develop and submit high-quality proposals and applications to secure funding.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders through regular communication, site visits, and events.
- Monitor and report on funding progress, ensuring timely delivery of results and impact reporting.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Humanities, Arts, or Finance (Ideal: Bachelor's degree)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fundraising, with a proven track record of raising > R10m per annum
- South African Fundraising Institute certificate (Ideal)
