About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager to join our team at Merand Corbett & Associates. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for leading cost accounting projects, managing office operations, and interacting effectively with staff and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Accounting: Lead cost accounting projects, including developing and implementing financial strategies, plans, and policies that align with company goals and industry best practices.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, forecasts, and cost analyses.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analyses and risk assessments to identify cost reduction opportunities, revenue enhancement, and operational efficiencies.
  • Team Management: Lead and develop a finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Costing System: Manage and improve costing system for primary produce and finished goods, ensuring accurate cost allocation and pricing strategies for profitability.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • CIMA qualified with 2-6 years of cost accounting experience in agriculture, manufacturing, wine production, food processing, or related fields.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations relevant to agriculture and manufacturing/food processing sectors.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data for decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels and leading a team.
