Job Summary:

Emporium Human Capital is seeking a skilled Technical Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing high-quality products and materials for our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and place purchase orders with suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate supplier master data.
  • Liaise with production, engineering, and suppliers to ensure timely and quality deliveries.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and document management.
  • Evaluate and monitor supplier performance, recording and measuring incoming material and quality, on-time deliveries, and service delivery.
  • Negotiate prices with vendors to ensure commercial sustainability.
  • Conduct regular stock takes and reviews of slow-moving stocks and spares.
  • Provide regular updates on critical spares holdings and inventory valuations.

Requirements:

  • Matric/Grade 12 qualification.
  • At least 35 years of experience in purchasing chemicals, engineering, or mining products.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of buying and procurement practices.
  • Excellent technical knowledge, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
  • Experience with SYSPRO or equivalent software.
