Procurement Specialist

Emporium Human Capital is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing and a proven track record of successfully managing supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and place purchase orders with suppliers.
• Maintain accurate supplier master data.
• Liaise with production, engineering, and transporters to ensure timely and quality deliveries.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and document management.
• Evaluate and monitor supplier performance, recording and measuring incoming material and quality, on-time deliveries, and service delivery.
• Negotiate prices with vendors to ensure commercial sustainability.
• Conduct regular stock takes and reviews of slow-moving stocks and spares.
• Provide regular updates on critical spares holdings.
• Perform inventory valuations.

Requirements:

• Matric/Grade 12 qualification.
• At least 35 years of experience in purchasing chemicals, engineering, or mining products.
• Comprehensive knowledge of buying and procurement principles.
• Strong technical knowledge, planning, and organizing skills.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
• Experience with SYSPRO or equivalent software.
