Position Overview
As a Financial Services Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering tailored risk and investment guidance to clients through digital platforms. This role requires strict adherence to compliance standards and the FirstRand Product Matrix, ensuring that all advice aligns with our established philosophy. Meet established sales objectives by recognizing opportunities to provide advice on FirstRand's investment and risk offerings. Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to enhance productivity and achieve shared goals. Discover new business prospects that influence the sector and relay these opportunities to the relevant product teams to facilitate cross-selling and strengthen client connections. Provide outstanding financial guidance to FNB clients, exceeding their expectations with proactive and innovative solutions. Manage new client accounts, tailoring personal portfolios to meet specific financial needs and objectives. Cultivate existing client relationships and expand your portfolio by engaging with customers, generating leads, and enhancing the active customer base. Achieve key performance indicators set by the organization. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all FirstRand products, application processes, and timelines to effectively meet sales targets. Assist clients virtually in creating proposals using appropriate tools and advice methodologies. Monitor daily progress to ensure timely closure of new business applications. Ensure compliance with relevant processes and legislative requirements while managing a high volume of less complex transactions. Stay informed in your area of expertise to enhance your professional knowledge and provide effective support and advice.Qualifications:
A relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, or Investment Management. RE 5 certification and Certified Financial Planner designation. Candidates must undergo a credit record check as per the National Credit Act (NCA). CFP (Postgraduate in Financial Planning) is preferred. All relevant FAIS CAT's (not under supervision). 3-5 years of experience in Commercial/Business Financial Planning. Membership in FPI or a related professional body. Proficiency in both English and Afrikaans is required.Experience Required:
3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role, with 1 to 2 years at a junior management level preferred. Background in sales, investment, and risk management. Experience in the Financial Services Sector along with the relevant qualifications. Candidates must not be unrehabilitated insolvents. Familiarity with Shariah law, products, and advice is advantageous.Additional Information
