Industrial Automation Specialist

We are looking for a highly skilled Industrial Automation Specialist to join our team at Rubicon Industrial Technology.

As an Industrial Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer support, overseeing installations and repairs, and growing sales within the Services Business Unit.

Main Responsibilities:

• Complete required service reports and communicate with relevant personnel.
• Coordinate field service activities with customers and local Rubicon associated sales personnel.
• Installation, service, and repair of refrigeration air conditioning, and all associated tasks.
• Understand customer requirements and provide cost-effective solutions from Rubicon.
• Promote Service Contracts through customer interactions.
• Follow-up on Sales leads.
• Grow the customer base for Services.
• Identify sales opportunities within customer plants.
• Grow sales and revenue for the Services Department (SLAs, once-off services, parts, and accessories).
• Process in-house evaluations and repairs of units returned by customers.
• Coordinate and work well with Service Partners.

About the Role:

• Estimated salary: R250,000 - R350,000 per annum.
• Location: South Africa.
• Industry: Industrial automation.

Requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
• Refrigeration qualification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a relevant field.
• Working knowledge of refrigeration products.
• Experience using electrical meters and troubleshooting.
• Previous field service experience preferred.
• Possess a valid driver's license and ability to travel.
