Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is between $60,000 and $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

This role is responsible for providing technical support to our customers and internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will work closely with senior technicians and support engineers to ensure that all technical inquiries are resolved efficiently and effectively.

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Attending to customer technical support requests via electronic means or telephonically
  • Providing on-site support at local, national, and international locations to assist with commissioning new systems, diagnosing faulty equipment, and troubleshooting issues
  • Assisting senior support engineers with their support cases
  • Collaborating with sales consultants to provide technical information about our products and systems
  • Diagnosing warranty claims and liaising with factories and suppliers on technical issues
  • Assisting in the creation of technical documentation for new products
  • Regularly attending supplier training sessions as designated

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Matric/NQF4 equivalent qualification, with one or more of the following:

  • A recognised electrical qualification, such as a wireman's license
  • Technical support experience in an electrical or power environment
  • Relevant diploma or degree
