Job Summary

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Compliance and Legal Administrator. You'll play a crucial part in ensuring company compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and robust compliance programs.

  • You'll track and implement adherence to controls, including ISO 27001:2022, POPIA, and GDPR.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure completion of tasks required to adhere to applicable controls.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance and Audit Preparation

  • Manage projects related to adherence to controls, including tracking and implementing necessary actions.
  • Work with different departments to ensure timely completion of tasks required for control adherence.
  • Stay current on relevant laws and regulations, ensuring the company remains compliant.

Compliance Training and Awareness

  • Coordinate employee awareness initiatives and training.
  • Track and report on training provided, identifying areas requiring additional guidance or support.

Risk Management and Mitigation

  • Keep the risk register up to date.
  • Ensure appropriate risk mitigation and control processes are followed.
  • Prepare reports on risk management efforts.

Policies

  • Use the compliance tool for policy management; perform regular reviews and updates to all company policies.
  • Coordinate continuous development, implementation, and updating of security, privacy, and other policies.

Requirements

  • A university degree / diploma (LLB, Dip.Iuris, B.Iuris, or B.Proc)
  • 2 – 4 years experience in compliance administration
  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, policies, and standards.
  • Excellent drafting skills

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
