Job Title: Reservations Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Reservations Supervisor to join our team at Red Carnation Hotels. As a key member of our Reservations and Revenue department, you will be responsible for supervising the Reservations Team and ensuring that the highest standard of performance and service is achieved when reserving accommodation and additional services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the Reservations Team to ensure that all reservations are made and updated accurately, efficiently, and comprehensively in accordance with Red Carnation Hotels' standards.
  • Ensure that all reservations-related administration and reporting is completed timeously, ensuring accuracy and precision in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Maximize occupancy and revenue-generating opportunities at both properties, while enhancing the guest service experience, in accordance with Red Carnation Hotels' standards.
  • Ensure that harmonious relationships exist with other departments, suppliers, and international sales managers by maintaining clear and prompt communication between all parties.
  • Recommend updates to hotel policies and procedures to maintain high standards and provide the best possible service to guests.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • 2 years 5* experience in a reservations or coordinating role, as well as at least 1 year 5* experience in a reservations or coordination supervisory role or 2 years 5* Hotel experience in a front office management role.
  • Highly presentable
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience at operator level of a Property Management System
  • Outstanding telephone manner
  • Excellent command of the English language - solid English verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work flexible hours, weekends, and public holidays

Advantageous Experience and Qualification Desired:

  • Hospitality diploma
  • Exposure to Opera and various distribution systems advantageous
