Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to local regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop corrective action plans.
- Collaborate with operations managers to address emergency situations and provide technical support during HAZOP/LORA/hazard/risk assessment team meetings.
- Analyze and report on location trends, monitoring safety performance, and advising management on safety and health issues.
- Participate in the location safety and health committee as a technical consultant/advisor and assist line management in recognizing hazards and risks.
Requirements:
- A recognized Health & Safety Qualification.
- Educated to degree level (Health and Safety, Engineering) or the proven ability to operate at that standard.
- At least 5+ years' experience in a similar role in a Production/Manufacturing Environment.
- Experience or understanding of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering processes & procedures.
- Knowledge of combustible dust hazards and Hazard Area Classification.
- Experience with Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Permit to Work Systems.
- A recognized Environmental qualification is preferred.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. This estimate is based on industry standards for similar positions in the United States. The actual salary may vary based on factors such as location, company, and specific job requirements.
