Job Title: Green Space Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Green Space Manager to join our team at BGA Recruitment.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the lodge, restaurant, bar, and events platform, incorporating the following areas of responsibility:

Landscape and Grounds Management:

  • Develop and establish effective landscape, gardens, and ground maintenance service strategies.
  • Implement an effective and quality project management system.
  • Employ sound environmental, ecological, and waste management practices.
  • Plan and manage cost centres through Capex budgets and add capital value to the asset.

Housekeeping and AIS Management:

  • Develop and establish effective housekeeping solutions inclusive of techniques and processes.
  • Implement an effective AIS management system.

Leadership and Performance:

  • Set formal and measurable performance targets and reporting strategies for staff.
  • Identify and manage corrective and enhancement actions.

Compliance and Quality:

  • E nsure compliance with OHS, BCEA, and LRA acts and apply the required principles.

Aesthetic Appeal:

Improve the aesthetic appeal of the surrounding environment to complement existing architecture and ensure longevity of the grounds.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years' project management or similar related experience and experience in a similar role in a horticultural environment.
  • Previous landscape construction experience is advantageous.
  • Must have the ability to analyse landscape development plans for accuracy, appropriateness, and compliance.
  • Previous management experience within a multinational environment is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of local South African laws and practices required.
  • A clean criminal record and a person of sober habits is required.
  • Conversational in South African languages is advantageous.

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is R600,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
