We are seeking a highly skilled Motor Claims Manager to join our team at Santam Insurance.

About the Role
  • As a Motor Claims Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of motor claims, ensuring timely and effective resolution of claims in accordance with the mandate matrix.
  • You will negotiate settlement agreements within mandate, draft settlement agreements, and strategically manage a portfolio of claims to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Your responsibilities will also include appointing and managing loss adjusters and attorneys where warranted, monitoring service levels and agreed turn-around times, and monitoring legal loss adjuster fee expenditure.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • We are looking for a candidate with previous motor claims handling experience of 6 or more years, a Matric qualification, FAIS Compliance, and a Finance or Legal qualification as a preference.
  • You should possess excellent administrative skills, analysis and judgement, attention to detail, client orientation, communication skills including negotiation, follow up, initiative, interpersonal skills, organisational awareness, planning and organising, teamwork, and computer literacy.
